Lightly buttered and mellowed in oak, this wine is a classic Santa Barbara favorite. It’s both vibrant and elegant, and works perfectly as a summer-time starter wine, or the feature of a wine and cheese presentation. We picked this particular Chardonnay for its universal appeal. It’s definitely a Chardonnay, not a half-baked imposter that tastes more like a Fume Blanc. But, its flavors jump out of the glass and both refresh and reward the palate, and will be enjoyed even by those who aren’t giant fans of the varietal.
